DONATE SPERM TO SEMOVO TO HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY NHS IVF CUTS

15th August 2017

Sperm donors are more in demand than ever by private fertility clinics, as increasing numbers of same-sex couples, singles and infertile men are facing restricted access to NHS donor sperm fertility treatments.

New Fertility Network UK figures have revealed that since the start of 2017 alone, 13 areas in the UK have cut-back or stopped funding NHS IVF services altogether, with more local authorities planning to follow suit.

As more patients who need donor sperm are pushed into the private route because of the IVF postcode lottery, there’s never been a better time to consider being a Semovo sperm donor.

Semovo sperm bank – helping people across the UK

When you donate sperm to Semovo, we can guarantee your sperm has the greatest reach to help people conceive. We don’t just supply sperm to one clinic only, geographically limiting patient access and creating another ‘postcode lottery’ situation.

We deliver donor sperm to private and NHS clinics all over the UK. Our unique network set-up means that when you donate sperm to our clinics in Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds, you know it can help anyone, anywhere in the UK, to achieve their dream of a family.

Sperm donation criteria

Here’s what we’re basically looking for in our sperm donors:

  • Aged 18-45
  • In good health, with no history of serious hereditary or genetic conditions in the family
  • Willing to be identifiable to any children born from your sperm
  • Willing to have your sperm checked
  • Willing to have health screening including STI testing
  • Committed to the sperm donation process and ready to make a real difference

It doesn’t matter what your sexual orientation is, whether you do a high-powered job, or whether you have ‘desirable’ physical attributes. What we need are altruistic men who have good sperm – could it be you?

Sperm donor compensation, care and support

You’ll receive £45 per clinic visit every time you donate sperm, with the full personal support and care of a dedicated Semovo team and professional counsellors to ensure a positive and confident sperm donation journey.

We even make it really easy to apply – just complete our simple preliminary application form here. We’ll review it and be in touch, or have a chat to our friendly team on 0345 266 1272. To learn all about sperm donation, browse our sperm donor FAQs, read how it works and our sperm donation blog.
