Donate Sperm in 2020: Great Reasons to Become a Sperm Donor & Help Others Next Year

18th December 2019

Want to make 2020 your best year yet? Then why not be a sperm donor?

Sperm donors help many different people to have families – from same sex couples to single women and men who can’t become Dads using their own sperm.

But not every man has the sperm quality that’s needed for donation or is medically suitable to donate sperm – which is why we need as many men as possible to apply!

You’ll be joining hundreds of men who are already successful sperm donors with us, who are helping to change lives. Many of our sperm donors already have children, or know people who are struggling to have a family and actively want to do something to help.

So if you’re aged 18-45, why not join us, and see if you can make a difference too? All it takes is a little bit of your time – and we make it convenient to donate sperm as well.

What you get as a sperm donor

Our sperm donors are some of the most generous, selfless and amazing men out there. If you think that’s you too, when you become a Semovo sperm donor, you’ll receive:

  • Health insights: You’ll be given a full health check as part of the sperm donation process, including a semen analysis. These screening tests help us to determine if you can be a sperm donor – but they’re really useful to you too and give you a great insight into your fertility.
  • Local and easy donation: Unlike other sperm banks, we don’t have just one central donor bank that we expect you to travel to. We have six different locations all around the UK, including Manchester City, London and Scotland! Which means there is likely to be a Semovo sperm bank right near to you.
  • A great donor experience: We’re one of the UK’s most experienced sperm donor programmes, that excel in sperm donor care and support. It’s why so many men decide to donate with us.
  • Expenses compensation: We’ll cover your time and travel expenses whilst you donate to us. You’ll receive £35 per visit – an amount which is set by UK fertility regulator the HFEA and is given to all UK sperm donors.

Apply to be a sperm donor now

If you apply to donate sperm now, you could be making a difference in just a few months’ time! Apply online here, it only takes a few minutes. Or if you have any questions, just call our friendly Semovo team on 0345 266 1272 or email us donate@semovo.co.uk
