Sperm donor screening: Equality for all

All Semovo sperm donors have to pass the same screening tests. You won’t be screened any differently because of your sexual habits. As long as your health tests are clear, you can donate sperm.

At Semovo we perform genetic screening as well as testing for diseases and sexually-transmitted infections, in accordance with the HFEA’s strict screening guidelines.

We do ask that you don’t put yourself at risk of STIs during your time as a sperm donor with us, so it’s essential that you always practise safe sex with your chosen partner.

You’ll be re-screened every six months for specific conditions, and again before all your donated samples are released for patient use.
