Emily Robinson

Reproductive Technologist

Emily’s role as a Reproductive Technologist at Semovo involves not only supporting donors throughout the process of donation, but also the analysis and release of samples for patient use.

Her academic background is where she gained a passion for reproductive science. She studied a BSc in Human Physiology at The University of Leeds, where she had the opportunity to shadow embryologists in IVF labs. She went on to achieve her MSc in Clinical Embryology at Liverpool John Moores University whilst also volunteering in the IVF laboratories at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

Emily gained an interest in the donation aspect of IVF during her Master's, where she had the opportunity to follow a patient’s journey and was able to appreciate the impact that the use of donor sperm had on the patients.

“I really enjoy being able to make a difference to patients and their fertility journey, as well as meeting and supporting the altruistic donors who make this process possible.”
